Timpanogos Caves, what a workout!!!

For Labor Day the Rasmussen clan all decided they wanted to try the hike to Timpanogos Caves. I cannot even begin to tell you how unprepared I was for this. But being prego will not hold me back!!! Well, ok so it did hold me back a little, I was much slower then lets say, Dad, Sean, Dixie, Hope, Ford, Cade....well that's not important, the important thing is that I did it!!! And after the 1 and 1/2 mile VERTICAL hike, we were able to rest at the cave entrance while we waited for the rest of the family! The caves were pretty cool inside, in more ways then one. It was actually pretty cold! After the vertical hike down we had a picnic nearby and enjoyed some more precious time sitting on our tired out rears! What a hike! We all had lots of fun, and lots of laughs!

Zions!!!

The recent events lately have been really pretty fun! We had a family vacation with the Pearson Fam, Zions National Park! I live in Utah, NEVER been! Is there something wrong with that???There is just so much to see. It was really pretty and I was glad that there was plenty of water and greenery to make up for all the dryness and dirt! After a couple days in Zion we headed to St. George. We swam for a bit, got all cleaned up, then we all went to the Tuacahn theatre and saw the play Annie!!!

We did a lot of different hikes in Zions, but my favorite was the last...It was very very long and flat but the paved path eventually ends and when it does you have two options. Turn around and go back or continue your hike through the river!!!! How cool is that??? So we kept going which was a brilliant idea because the water really cooled us down! The highest the water got was up to our waists. You can go pretty far but we eventually turned around. They told us if you kept going the rock walls on either side would eventually close in real tight...now that would be sweet!!! Next time baby!!!
