And the climbing continues...

Mya has only had a few falls, this is probably because I watch her like a hawk/scared mommy!  She loves to see what she can do though.  Once shes climbs on she likes to stand all the way up and see how high she is!!

Here is another thing she found easy to climb on top of!

Lovely eh, and yes they're dirty!

On the 12th of March I had my 24th birthday!  Usually I tell Stephen something I want, and I also get to pick something fun to do. I decided I didn't really care and wanted to be surprised!  So Stephen got me 4 presents and let me open one a day a few days before my birthday, leaving the best one for last!!  Then he took me to a movie and dinner at an Italian restaurant I've been wanting to eat at forever!

The food was DELICIOUS and the company was EXCELLENT!!!  It was a perfectly successful day!!!

This is one great way to get Mya out of a cranky mood.....at least until you stop!

This will also make Mya temporarily happy!

But we have backup because auntie Hope is a favorite of Mya's as well.

Mya made me laugh pretty good the other day when she was sitting in her high chair.  She found this door nob and then spent the rest of the meal making all sorts of awesome faces at herself!!

March projects....

 Finally we got to see Brit and her kiddles at the end of March!  I was so excited and once she came, resting or relaxing was OUT!  From taking care of kids, re-upholstering a couch, doing lots of hair and eating food and treats, we didn't have much time left for ourselves!  One thing for sure is that we always have a blast!

 I love how kids like to be around each other, especially these ones!  Mya just loved hanging with the cousins!

Asher's got feeding all figured out so he had a good time helping Mya out! 

 

Getting ready for bed was a riot with these two!  They would not stop jumping and laughing and yelling for anything, except of coarse the pictures and filming!!!

They really do have a blast together, can ya tell?!!

Nothing like crowding Grampa!!  They all adore him!!

February 2011

Mya is getting so big and I can really see that she knows it too!  More and more she is able to communicate things she wants!  Watching how she responds to things, or does daily tasks shows me her knowledge and confidence is growing!  Another thing about her that makes me smile is how quick she is to notice everything!  Really she does't miss a thing, she keeps me on my toes!

This cutie pie is always trying to get away!  She is such a busy body.

The list is endless of things she thinks she needs to do, but one reason she likes to get away is so that we will chase her!!  She loves it, and I love to see her laugh and have a sense of humor!

Valentines Day

For Valentines day this year we couldn't really find a babysitter so we decided we would have as much fun as we could with Mya by our side!!  I love going to breakfast so we headed to IHOP for a delicious and filling feast!

Next we took a trip out of Logan for some fresh air and fun shopping and of coarse some good food later for lunch!!  Then we decided our outing was coming to an end, so we spent the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoy some time at home with our little family!! 

Mya is really loving books lately!!

She's constantly finding books to bring us, a lot of times

its the same one over and over and over again!  She usually likes to read her favorites more than once in the same sitting!

Also in February we got to see some cousins!!!  Mya took a while to warm

up to Anna, but after that they were pretty happy playing side by side!

I badly needed a Valentines day wreath and thought

I could do it for free, this is what I came up with!

I also had some fabric laying around

and decided to make Mya a dress.

Mya wants to climb!  I knew this was bound to start sooner or later!  

Here is a little proof that she needs to get a new carseat.

Look at those feet hanging off!  I'm so excited for her to be forward facing!

Grandma and Grumpa Johnson came to visit and it was so much fun to see them!  We were't able to see them at Christmas time so everybody was 

excited when they decided it had been too long!

How can you not smile when you see this?!

And how can you not giggle when you see how adorable this is!!!???

Ps...check out the pearls!  Thought they would be a good change!!

Happy New Year!!!

New Years Eve came fast, towards the end of the evening we were playing games!

By the time midnight came around we didn't even realize it!

Sleeping through the noise of the evening was hard for Mya, the lucky girl was

able to be awake for the start of 2011!!!

Learning to Eat BETTER

 New things for Mya in January seem harder for me to catch, but I just know this gal is learning faster then the eye can see!  Everyday Mya get better at using her hands and fingers!  She is very good at feeding herself and  also very good at pushing all the food to the ground!  Her favorite foods are eggs, applesauce, bananas, goldfish, bread, potatoes, squash, and mush!  I know I know...really need to work on the veggie area!

I've been wanting more sleeping shots so occasionally I'll try and sneak a picture!

Another thing I have been noticing for Mya at 13 months is her balance!

She is always finding herself tangled one way or another!  Instead of always falling down she can now untangle and get away on two feet!

I love how much personality and energy comes out of lil' Mya!  She has really started to go crazy with mirrors!  We have a big mirror in our bedroom that is low enough to the ground she can see herself in!  We would put on her sunglasses and tell her to go look in the mirror, and Im afraid it just escalated from there!  At least 5 times a day she heads to the mirror where she can look and make silly faces at herself!!

January Projects 

Helped Pa scrape the ceiling in the girls bedroom! Nasty, but all is good, it took the full day to get all the popcorn sparkles off and re texture the ceiling, plus a coat of paint!  Totally worth it!!

Also I made a cardboard house with my sister in law!  I decided it'd be a good decoration for Mya's room! 

 ....and doesn't this just make your heart melt!?!!

Lastly this little lady at 13months has 6 teeth, with 2 more trying to push their way through!!!!
