Mya turns 18 months!!!
Mya is learning new things and exploring more & more!!! She makes me smile each day!!!
We get outside and go to the park whenever we can!
Mya loves to run around and figure out this big world around her!
She has a very adventurous personality but is also quite cautious! She really wanted dad to help her get close to the water so she could inspect!
Grams and Grumpa J. came for a visit!!!
Mya was buddies with Grampa right away, who wouldn't be!?!!
Mya gets better at imaginary play all the time! She used to just hold one toy at a time. Now she likes to have one in each hand, or hug as many stuffed animals as she can in her tiny arms.
Hope brought a little kitty home and Mya was on cloud nine! The first thing she said when she saw it was "kitty baby!" Then she just wanted to carry the the kitty around by the neck! She wasn't too excited to have us there coaching her on how it really should be done!
More quality time at the park! Nothin better then some time well spent with my little family!
Sucker attack! Mya LOVES suckers and I do not. The sticky just drives me crazy, but I will let her have her fun as often as I can bear!
A funny thing that Mya tried was eating an apple whole. She grabbed it from daddy's forgotten lunch and started chowing away! I noticed when I heard chewing sounds followed by an "mmm...." sound
I started cracking up and had to get some pictures! She very much enjoyed herself as she ate and paced back and forth on the couch! What an advancement!

Mya also LOVEs trying on shoes and walking around in them, especially my high heels!
Another thing we are trying to get better at is going down the stairs!
Still not perfect but we are working on it!
Of course its never too early to teach her how to lick the brownie bowl :)
Mya is a climber! This was a new move she pulled on the couch one day!
I think this picture captures just how much fun she was having!
I love how such small things bring Mya so much joy! I think it'd be a good attribute for us all to take on.
oh..and more park fun!
This is Mya with her cousins Lillee and Jack on our drive to a family get together! They were very good babysitters and made sure to keep her occupied with either chips or candy!
Our saddest moment of June happened on a Sunday evening...
We were all outside letting Mya release some wiggles when...she decided to step off the curb...Luckily she landed ok even though she still needs practice. We got her out of the street and onto the sidewalk to safety. Before we could stop her she ran right back towards the parking lot and off the curb she stepped. She missed and landed on her hands and knees, hitting her head on the ground! She had to have hit a rock because she had a deep cut in the middle of her forehead :( We rushed to the ER and a couple hours later we left traumatized and with 5 stitches! My poor baby, I wished with my whole heart that I could take away all the pain she had to feel!
To end on a good note..and because it wouldn't be a post without....
